Our Products, Services & The Environment
Sustainability is a key focus at Stripes Lawn Care and we are committed to using products that enhance the health and performance of landscapes and contribute to the environment in meaningful ways.
Stabilized Nitrogen fertilisers
Stripes Lawn Care use Stabilized Nitrogen fertilizer products offer a novel approach to nitrogen fertility problems in turf grass.
Stabilized Nitrogen products are uniquely formulated to minimize losses and also to provide uniform feeding of turf, resulting in an extended, deep green colour.
Stabilized Nitrogen fertilisers are not coated with micro plastic nor do they use a complex chain process to reduce nitrogen losses. Stabilized Nitrogen is uniquely formulated with a urease inhibitor to stop volatilization losses and a nitrification inhibitor to stop leaching and denitrification losses. Stabilized Nitrogen works with nature to keep nitrogen in a plant-available form for a longer period of time providing uniform feeding of turf, resulting in an extended, deep-green colour.
Stabilized Nitrogen works naturally
Stabilized Nitrogen provides results similar to a slow – or controlled-release nitrogen fertiliser. It also ensures availability to the plant when it needs it, because its release is not dependent on temperature or microbial breakdown. Stabilized Nitrogen has many advantages:
- Extended deep green colour
- Healthy, high-quality turf
- Fewer applications per year
- Lower clipping yield
- More environmentally friendly
- Better value
- Reduced thatch levels
- Increased root mass
- Increased disease resistance
Stabilized Nitrogen fertilisers are environmentally friendly
Water and air qualities are at the forefront of public opinion and with this increased scrutiny, fertiliser applications must be geared towards minimizing their effects on the environment. Stabilized Nitrogen products protect against nitrogen loss from volatility, leaching and denitrification, therefore releasing less greenhouse gas emissions than unstable nitrogen products.
Sustainability
Stripes Lawn Care recognizes that our business operations could potentially have a negative impact on the environment, which deeply we care about. We are committed to understanding the potential impact and what we can change to ensure a positive long term, sustainable future.

Agri.Cycle CertificateGreen 2 Earth Waste Recycling
Following Scarification / Renovation the thatch that is removed from your lawn is bagged up, removed and taken to Green 2 Earth Waste Recycling where it is turned into 100% peat free composted soil improver which meets Pass 100 accreditation.
Field Compost
We use Organic Fine Grade Lawn Dressing when renovating lawns manufactured from composted organic material in accordance with BSI PAS100 (2018). It provides a valuable source of organic nutrients and soil organic matter for the establishment and maintenance of a healthy lawn.
The Benefits are:
- Provides a valuable source of organic matter.
- Improves the soils ability to hold on to water making your lawn more drought resistant.
- Provides a slow release of nutrients that grass and plant species need.
- Helps to suppress soil borne diseases, resulting in a healthier lawn.
- Improves the rooting of grass seed and provides a denser more verdant sward.
